About As we were driving through a little town called Chilton today this RR track caught my eye. From this vantage point it looked like it ended up in that farm. Hopefully the tracks curve once they cross over the hill! :)

A fascinating shot with most unusual colours. While I like the way Sam adjusted the horizon, his version does lose the rails coming into the corners of the image...

Hi Kathy, I missed this shot yesterday. I was out taking photos (which, no doubt, we all wish we had time to do more often). :)

Congrats on making the front page. :)

The unusual lime overtones and colours drew me to this image. It's great when another's eye can pick up what ours don't see. The horizon was a bit out as Sam pointed out but lovely image. Great lines and shadows and I like the way the grass frames the tracks. Draws me right into the farm. Refreshing colours and great perspective.

Cheers - Ann :)

Actually, Tracey, I did see what was on the other side. We drove up that way again today (I'm on vacation). The farm looks pretty close from the picture, but...not to worry...there's actually quite a distance! Thanks for your nice words!

Hi Sam,
Thanks for your nice words, and for taking the time to "straighten me out" (pun intended! :))
I actually tried twice to straighten out that horizon, but for some reason I just couldn't get the job done right. But...you did it, and it looks better! Thanks my friend!

Just a few hours away...but the color there looks a lot further changed than here! Glad you are sightseeing and enjoying the area!

I agree with Sam on adjusting the horizon. Well done, Kathy!

My friend....this is a fantastic shot. It has all the elements I love in a shot. Rich colors lines....texture....you hit on all cylinders.
I would only Humbly suggest rotating the canvase to straighten out the horizon line...kinda like the following example.....tell mewhat you think.
Congrats on making the front page to.
Best Regards
Sam III

Actually, Ina, I'm using my husband's laptop, and it has PS on it. I'm a little nervous about working on pictures on it, however, because the colors change as I tilt the screen. I'm not sure which colors are being seen by all of you. That being said, I'm glad to be able to process and upload from here. I'd hate to miss a whole week!!! Thanks for your nice words!

Catchy little title Sissy. Nice catch and great line. The fall colors sure aren't letting you down. I'm glad that they stuck around for you. Have fun!!

Very nice one-point perspective of the rails, Kathy! Looks very steep downhill - I like the gravel and the rust, and the trees leaning on both sides. The farm at the far end looks nice too, a bit of a dangerous site, but probably not! Good composition w/the railroad in the corners of the frame. Do you carry a laptop with you? How do you process the pictures?
