Wow, yes, I guess it was quite a thrill. I think most of us only wish to see a real eagle... I'm still hoping to. Best I could do recently was a Turkey Vulture... How frustrating to find that out when I though I was shooting a hawk.
Best wishes, Dave

I can understand why it was a thrill, such a lovely looking eagle. I've never seen one live. Colours are nice. Too bad he wasn't a bit closer, I guess too with the 2X, you loose a bit of IQ, but all it all congrats on getting him. Best regards.

An amazing capture Debby, looks like we have both been after these "Folically challenged" eagles at the moment.

Mine was only a few metres away fortunately (no real zoom lens on the camera lol)
Best wishes, Steve

Del, I was using our "super-duper" lens with the 2x convertor, on a tripod. My hands aren't steady enough to manage that lens without leaning on something. Thanks for your comments.

Very nice, like the facial detail. I can understand (and envy) the thrill of getting a clear shot of this wonderful bird. Well done

This is an excellent shot from so high. It is a magestic bird in deed. You must have had to hand hold your camera. Did you have on a telephoto lens? Some day I hope to get some better equipment, I love the digital but now I just have an inexpensive camera. Del.
