Great capture, and use of DOF.
I love the colored and blurry background.

Really amazing orchis, Debbi. I looked back and saw that you did indeed comment on my "Hungarian glassware". It seems that I did not thank you for that comment and I beg your pardon for that. As to your orchid, it looks like the carnivorous type, with a trap that shuts on any insect that falls into its sack.
This time I won't forget and I thank you for your comment on my "Hungarian glassware as well as for your comment on my "Nursing". The latter I already did, but twice holds better.

God may have created the orchid but it was you who had the sense of beauty to notice it and photograph it. It's a very skillfully done shot and very nicely framed as well. I think the framing really adds to it.

Well captured ladyslipper, Debby. I like the desaturated background. These are always a beast for DOF, to eliminate distraction behind yet catch all of the detail in the flower.
