Bob, Gary and Miles, hope I don't break a rule about discussion but I am going to go back and retake some photos, luckly I took some photos of the landowners pet cat for him, I am going to try all the suggestions - including maybe reflecting light inside the shed some how. will post again when I get it done. I will definately make it a tighter shot and concentrate on the saddle as that and the broken top board that the saddle was on, is what caught my eye in the first place.

Looking at this picture and the other one you posted with it, there is some good potential here. I love old stuff like this and the memories, even vibes evoked by the picture. This shed was once full of life and fulfilled an important function and the saddle ....
I think there is scope to improve on what you have - try for a less cluttered image. Perhaps tighter framing and closer view of the saddle. It is worth going back there and working on it.
