This is a very interesting capture. I like it very much. Using the shadow of the second flower worked very well. Well done. Del.

Sally, I think you are right, a deeper orange plain frame would have worked better. Thanks for your helpful critique. :)

Steve, This is not straight from the camera. I passed it through neatimage once. I'll check my camera for sharpening but I don't think it has that feature. Thanks for your helpful comment. :)

This is an excellent composition, Lily. It seems almost loke an abstract painting and the contrast between the flower and the shadow let it appear in 3D. Congrats and thanks for sharing, Markus

Great shot here Lily... I really like the way the shadow hints at the full plant while the foreground plant is 'incomplete'. Great colours and a very subtle shadow too. Well done - superb image!

This is great - so bold and striking, and yet so simple. I love the sharpness of the flower, and the way you've composed the shot. I also like the nice plain white background - I'm just not sure about the colour of the frame where it passes through the flower - but that's just personal taste! Super photo - thank you!

Hi Lily - great composition - love the cntrast betwwen the bright colopurs and the very monochromatic wall and shadow.
The 'noise' looks to me like sharpening artifacts. If this was in the image straight from the camera - i would investigate if you can alter the sharpening levels on the camera settings.
Great macro!
Steve
