And I'll chime in with the opinion that it's perfect just the way it is. The slight texture on the water makes the background dreamlike and slightly unreal and gives emphasis to the plant shadows. Obviously you know exactly what you're doing.

Gayle,
It's so hard to know what another's intentions are! Personally, I love grain as well as digital artifacts! I was trying to make suggestions that'd put the image more in line with 'traditional' photo values -- I mistake, I see. Leave the mottled water alone, it IS charming. And more power to anyone pushing the traditional boundaries.

And i thought that water grain was part of the artistic charm of this image..LOL..thanks for tip and will give it a try..smoother water would be nice,but not too clear as would change image intent...
