I like this one too, Gayle! Great visual quality of such a known subject. The curve and light to dark transitions are extraordinary. The stains can be interpreted, but they can also be considered as part of the shading pattern, as with Jasper Johns flag paintings, I'm sure you're familiar with his work. Nicely done. What are the brown/dark streaks seen throughout the Flag ? Hopefully not the blood of Heros stationed at Iraq
