Smile. This is a famliar scene. My daughter graduated from Alfred with a dual major in glass and ceramics and will graduate from Tyler (coincidentally :-) with her masters in glass. I have witnessed secenes like this while visiting at both of her schools.
Well, yes and no. I know a guy in the school of photojournalism, he's good at it. I think I could do it but that doesn't speak to me, I like art, I like portraits and stuff like that, but chasing shots at sporting events and news events isn't my bag. Documentary work, or photos for a magazine, sure. The newspaper, Nah. I posted a slide of one of my ceramics pieces.
Along the way, I took ceramics. I dug raku. Then it was drawing. I was good with it. And then photography came along and knew that was my outlet. This brings back memories. Ever thought of photojournalism?
