Aww..Margaret. I didn't mean to make you cry. But regardless, I hope that were tears of happiness. He is a special bird and doing very well. Was very eagerly waiting for me this morning. In a couple of weeks he will have his adult feathers. I willupload more of him down the track to show you all how he is doing.

Great job and great hobby helping the birds.

This fella is so lucky to be in the care of such dedicated person like you Judi. Where DO you find the time to practise all your many skills. Kelly hit the nail on the head with her question. This is one magnificent shot and I'm glad you left the background as original. Margaret must have seen this after I left for work this morning, but believe me , she certainly would have had a tear in her eye. Thanks for sharing this. Den

Judi I was reading the interesting and touching about, which was in danger of bringing a tear to my eye and - then I read the final bit - and I have more than just one tear in my eye thank you so much. I am sure with such TLC from yourself he is going to continue to grow and blossom into a beautiful bird like his father below. BOth compositions are really lovely, I'm glad you didn't risk him getting cold by getting another background and t his does sort of enhance the soft, feathery, downy-ness, fragility of him. Margaret

Aww thanks Kel. You are a sweetie. Looking after one isn't too bad. I have had up to 14 babies to feed at times. Ranging from 2cms long upwards. That was hard going, but the joy you get when they have graduated to a cage and you come near them. You have all these babies flying at the cage door screaming for you with their mouths open. Now that makes it all worth it.
I even took them to trips to the school to teach classes of children about them.
