Thankyou Roland. I actually did have more dark area on the left of the image but purposely cropped it to really put the emphasis on her face. Maybe I should have left it. I will next time. Thankyou for your advice.

Absolutely striking! I really like this Judi although if I may suggest to pan a little more to the left & that would give more room for the subject to stare on. Other than that I give this 2 thumbs up & a smile.

Hi Judi. Very effective use of soft focus on this one. The low key tone really accentuates the highlights, especially the catchlights in her eyes, intensifying the dramatic quality of this touching image. And no, she does not look seven years old (I'd guess early teens). Ironic, isn't it, that this same technique is often used to make older folks appear younger! Kurt

Thankyou so much Paul. I loved the softness of this image. I had only one torch as any lighting as we had now power at the time. I actually kept my polarizer filter on just to see what would happen and it gave this really soft effect. Just experimenting I think they call it...LOL!! I know it isn't everyones choice of images but it is special to me.
