Aww Nitish you make me blush. It was a very simple image to create. It took no longer than about 10 minutes. There were no plug ins involved, just using a simple ripple effect once.

Beautiful abstract, Judi. I like the eye-catching colors in this artwork. Looking at the starting image, I'm quite amazed at your talent - the end result is beautiful

It is beautiful, and I find it amazing that it all comes from just that one simple shape. It is a lovely work of art I adore the colouring Margaret

Thankyou Kurt. You are so right. Where does one draw the line between photogrphy and art. There is no line except in ones own imagination.

A fractal buterfly! I like it. I could have been a poster on my wall with a black light on it, in my younger days...... There are so many hidden images. It's fun to study.

Very nice imagination. As a Freudian scholar I now know what your all about;)But to spare the others I will say...you must of had purple and blue snowflakes on your mind after all of your christmas decorating. Nice abstract Judi.

You could do something similar with a camera... put it on a really long exposure in a dark room.. then run around with lights in different colors.. paint in the air! =)
Nice that you try new grounds! =)
Cheers

Hi Judi. Hard to believe you got all that from what you started with! I was just commenting on Shawn McCammon's flatbed scanner photoart when I saw your abstraction. I suppose some purists will argue that it's not photography, but does that really matter? If photography is defined as "writing with light", should it matter where the light came from? (The sun, a strobe, a tungsten bulb, phosphors, lcd crystals, etc...) Light is light, no matter how we capture or manipulate it. The important element is the eye and mind of the artist. I like what you've done here. Keep working with this idea, my friend. Kurt

Thanks Kel. I ummed and ahhed about uploading this one...but I thought what the heck. We all make different backgrounds and foregrounds for different reasons, so in a way it is linked with photography. Withouth these experiments we wouldn't know what to do when faced with images that needed help on them.
