Since I seem to be comparing all of Mister Crawford's airliner photos tonight with Precisionist paintings, I might as well proceed to an artist who was well-acquainted with that school, and had much in common artistically with them, but who always went her own way. I refer to Georgia O'Keeffe, whose skyscraper painting this image of Mister Caldwell's reminds me of. I do wish I could have found her late painting of the Washington Monument, which is almost like Mister Caldwell's photo set on its side.
