Actualy the boat was at the very center and I crop it a little to put it off center. Do you mean something like this??

Good lighting, Raamses! I like this shoreline. Maybe a tad wider DOF would have enabled you to capture the church in focus too. Other than that, a fine shot. Did you consider panning a bit to the left? that part seems to be better lit, and more interesting. It would place the boat a bit more to the left, which would IMO benefit the composition.

Wonderful photo Raamses, reminds me of the peaceful scenery when I took a much smaller cruise liner across the Greek islands. Brings back happy memories :-)

Hi Eric,
First, thanks for you coment, I realy apreciate when people speak their minds (contructively) as you did. Now my comentns back to you.
1) For the boat not been the main pint of focus, yes you are rgiht, it is the port (home, the town) where the boat is going. We are talking about frim land, hot meals. A place of confort. that's why is coming home and yes it could have title diferent, but this is how I felt it.
2) About the middle white building been too bright, as you said, there is noting I could have done cus I used a polariser and even with that I didn't avoid it. About the hight, I was on the 14 Deck of the ship. Trust me that "Son of ship" is huge.

Let me try to comment on this photo--1) as a viewer myself, I did not focus on the boat, which seems to be your focus as said in your title; my eyes fell on the church and the town ( you might have other photos fit the title.) 2} the middle white building is too bright, but I do not know how to avoid this. You must be on the top floor of the big ship to take this photo; therefore, I would have experienced the same problem to angle that boat as to fit the title. What do you think of my comment. As said in other place, I am newbie. Do not take this so serious. --Eric
