This not depressing in any way. It is magnificent. It has an atmosphere of solitude, very early morning hours, the sun coming up through the tumultuous clouds. The angle and perspective with your eye being carried down the row of buildings, the dark waters, the silhouette of trees, the tones all combine for a disquieting quality. At any moment I expect a man in a long black overcoat, smoking a cigarette and wearing a black fedora, of course, to step into the light.
