About I was lucky enough to be very close and catch this eagles magnificent gaze. Getting as sharp an image of the eagles eye was my goal. A truly beautiful creature. Now if I only had as much luck catching them in flight.

Jim this is just a wonderful photograph. Such clarity and a wonderful moment.

Please forgive the fact that I am using this section for a question. I don't quite know all of the ins and outs of Usefilm yet. When and if you have time:
How do you communicate "thank you" for comments, reviews, questions, to other members etc here?
Can you edit a photo after it is posted?

Thanks for any help or suggestions. I have browsed around and tried to edit my picture a little but as I say, I haven't figured everything out yet.

Thanks

Stan

Congratulations on 'Photo of the Day', again. Wow! Is this the second day in a row or did Usefilm do a mid-day switch? Either way, both photos are well deserving.

Very beautiful portrait of this majestic bird Jim. The eye is tack sharp and depth of field is excellent. Catching them in flight is'nt easy as I can tell you, but it's the ultimaty goal to go after. In four weeks I will be in Homer/Alaska again for one week trying to get some of them in flight and some close-ups also ofcourse....Best regards Harry

Petri... there is more detail in the shadowy portions of this image on the slide. I borrowed a friends scanner and was not as happy with the results from it. I'll eventually rescan it on mine to get a better scan (or so I hope) and adjust it to get better shadow detail. Best of luck with the mother in-law! :)

perfect bird-shot! maybe too dark imho. details are sharp enough to bring up feathers. Very staring look (reminds me of my mother in law)
