hi hugo, sorry for the delayed response (i've been on the road on business). in your last comment to me you asked if i "speak the cervantes language". pues claro que si, pero se me esta olvidando ;^) i was born and raised in the dominican republic but since i moved to the US at age 18 i've gradually been forgetting it. i really have no one to practice with so i tend to forget the words when i speak. however, i can understand perfectly when i hear it spoken. it seems you've been in argentina for quite some time. can i assume you are also fluent?

this photo reminds me very much of home. can't get away fromthat spanish architecture in south america ;^) wonderful detail here, especially in the colors of the window frame. wonderful exposure and composition. i'd love to see more!

take care,
tom

Beautiful window,You know,I had an idea of Buenos Aires.Never been there, even living in S.Paulo.But I took my vacations to be back to Portugal. But from images and tales I thought it was an european town , in South America. Now I still think it is so...but at the same time it has most of their own.Boca has nothing similar in Italy or Spain or elsewhere.Like tango, it is an unique music, like it or not, with a comitment from dancers that has no equal.I am not fan of the Gardel tango, but Astor Piazzolla, since 1975 is one of my idols.I was surprised to listen, in the tango shows, playing the way Piazzolla did.I thought he did not yet enter so deep in the tango santuaries.
I?m geting to the end of my Caminito piece and then I?ll post pictures I took in the town of Buenos Aires.I was told of riots, demonstrations, but saw none.As far as safety is concerned, I felt safe, all the time.Of course, I?m not young- pity- and I?m used to be in very dangerous places ,so I know how to behave , what I can and what I must not do.In this situation, as compared with my town, Porto, I felt very safe. Was I lucky? I don?t think so...I talk with the hotel porter-people that used to feel very well a town- he told me what could and could not be done.In my town, I just don?t know what I could or could not,as it is changing all the time.
Regards
jorge

What a window, this is terrific. The focus is pin sharp and the colours are really great. I've never seen such an ornate window. The framwork on the window reminds me of moorish windows I've seen. What does the whole building look like if this is the window? What does the translation of the building name mean?

Hola Hugo. Casi dos meses sin mirar fotos nuevas desde el barco pesquero. Me encanta este tipo de arquitectura de finales del siglo XIX. Buena composición, colores y sobre todo nitidez. Felicidades, y esperando fotos tuyas más frecuentes. Saludos.

Hi Hugo. This window subject is one of the more interesting I ever seen here. The details and generaly the architecture looks very special and - as you write - surely belong to a great and very important building. Beautiful colours, especialy this azure looks very uncommon, so original! Good one!
