Wonderful shot! But it beams not depression for me: it's rather express for me an ease after a crying, with these warm very beautiful colours :) Really wonderful photo, congratulation from Hungary,

Marti

Shelby,
If you don't mind I am putting this one in my favorites because this explains it so eloqently. i agree sometimes you just have to accept it and let the waves crash above you so eventually the tide will pull them back again. You amaze me. Your pictures are too much for me to even put into words just know you are a *Special* soul. Maybe it is why you feel so much, you express what others can't. It's your gift.

The set up here is great! Good color and expression. The stuff in disaray sort of help led into the depression story. Possibly shambels progressing to depression. Wonderful perspective, well done.

As our wise friend Michelle K says, this is what it is! Triumphantly represented!

sometimes you have to just give in to it, knowing that you'll rise above it again as you have before. sometimes it's the only emotion that makes sense. now it's monday, I'll go to work, I'll see and hear tragedy all around me, I'll smile when appropriate, I'll thank the appropriate entities that my life has come as far as it has, and I'll be thankful for all of you who care. thanks for your comments everyone.

I like the snapshot documentary like tuch to this one, makes the picture feel less arranged, more real, like she had the same problem as you and me. Keep it up Shelby.

i do my best to keep depression an aquaintance rather than a friend,
but i realized
how can i ever truly appreciate happiness
if i were never depressed?

well done..

feels like one of those moments when the self gets focused above everything else - made tolerable when you notice the sun shining in between..

Just when I was starting to feel better... at first I was thinking the closet in the background was kind of distracting, then after re-thinking it, it creates the setting. Well done!
