I love the idea and it's a great find... but... It feels a bit cramped for me. I feel like it needs a bit more space around it. In addition the foreground or bottom is in focus but the top or back is not. I believe this is caused by the angle you shot it at. Either you needed more DOF or most likely the film plane or in your case the sensor plane of the camera needed to be parallel with the subject.

The intense colors really help to emphasize the composition and textures. I like the simplicity. It brings to mind everything about Fall and the holiday season.

Hi Karen, you have some nice pics in your collection,thanks for your comments on my flower shot. It is an Australian flower called Callistemon (bottlebrush) and I nearly did take the flower color for the border....ta Roger
