HI Jorge! you've asked me how you could achieve a non overexposed area on the white shore: well, i'm not a magician, neither an expert photographer, and this was a very difficult shot due to the great difference of EV between the lights and the shadows, but i know a bit of photoshop, that in this case could be useful: the movement of the shores are a random pattern, so you could get another shot metering the exposure on the white part, and then take the little waves from this shot and paste over this one in a new level. Then you have to refine the whole adjusting levels and using the eraser and the clone stamp tool to fit the two images. But i have i simplest solution: try to shoot with another composition in a different situation of lights and shadows... :-) Hope this comment can be useful! Ciao! Lorenzo

Another beautiful view of this island, only the seashore is a bit overexposed... I've been in Lisboa last year, but i haven't planned a trip to Madeira... What a pity! Regards! Lorenzo
