This is somethnig very pleasing beacuase the different shades and intensities in the colours reveal layers in the DOF. A well thought effect, once again ; something daring, yet well paced.

At a 32nd of a second, the wind blurred some of these tiny flowers and I was pressing the limits of my hand holding capabilities. So when I went to process this, I made the decision to apply a brush effect of my own making. (That is, I modified a currently existing art effect to my own liking) I also used a soft focus filter and a sharpening filter to achieve the look you see above. Attached is a copy of the picture before applying these effects or adjusting the contrast for that matter. Thanks for all your comments. Unfortunately a better, more striking composition did not present itself.

John,
I will let the comp suggestion go because it has definitely been covered.
I wanted to compliment you on something which I am not sure is in the original photo or if it is from the filter (fur - I am guessing).
I noticed that this type of grass has visible yellow pollen if you look carefully and the effect makes it either enhances the pollen or does a good job simulating the pollen.

Keith pretty much summed up the comp so I will just throw in my 2 cents and say I really like that effect. Very smooth. At first look, I thought of a fabric softener ad. Good work here...

John, the composition might have been better here, with a few stems (4 or 5) off to the left and some negative space on the right. It just feels too cluttered for me, but I do like the effects. Good work again. Keith
