Thanks Harvey. You are correct about the sharpness of this image. I didn't quite nail it. Also, I wished that I had left just a little more room at the top of the frame.
I remember this image now as being a bit of a turning point for me in that I was so very frustrated with my new Nikon Coolpix at the time. I would have returned it to the store if it weren't for taking such a bath on returning almost new digital equipment. The problem was simply getting used to a completely different camera system.
I saw some potential in the camera with this shot and I kept at it until I got past the intial learning curve. If anyone out there is about to give up, I'd suggest they stick at it just a little bit longer.

A small lack of detail. Otherwise a nice composition. A nice change of pace from the norm.

interesting John....busy but interesting looking plant...need fill to get more detail out of the main flower's center, its getting a bit flatish towards the base of the center...background is busy...love to see a macro of one of the ones with the yellow pedals...
