I am getting this one printed here in large size. the full size of this image comes to 3 gigs. The Print shop that Debbie (my girlfriend ) uses will print it as big as i want for free because they liked it so much.....so long as he can have one too. Sounds like a good deal for me! 4 feet x 5 feet....wow... Yes i looked at PTgui 7.0 version and it does do HDR. but other then that i don't see a advantage...oh yes i think the latest version PRO will handle wide angle lens as well which would be nice.

This is another winner - I noticed that PT Gui also managed to handle the grad filter - most of the packages out there fail fairly miserably when coming up against grad filters. Simply amazing. By now you are probably stitching portrait shots across the landscapes. Once you get hooked you won't stop.
I also think the newest PT Gui handles HDR - so if you are so inclined to shoot multiple exposures it'll do some interesting things. Theoretically.

Hi Ali, I have tried many other panoramic types of software. all of them only partially successful. PTgui has been the only one that works well. I have had a few images that PTgui got confused with, but for the most part (80-90%) they come out seamlessly. And due to no great skill on my part other then taking the photos.

Hi Tim, Thanks for the info, I usually use canon's Photo Stitch software, and I never succeed, i usually end up losing the most important parts of the shot and the final photo's composition is usually really bad, anyway thanks again for the info I'll check PTgui out. My best, aLi

Great, Tim! There is a lot of barrel distortion which plays nicely into the composition - like a fisheye but defished! Eb

Wonderful fall colours, and a great stitching job considering you didn't use a tripod! That patch of blue sky really is a great contrast to the predominantly warm colours. Dave.

Wow! I just do not get tired of looking at your landscapes. These fall colors are a real feast for my eyes - The Phoenix valley (and even the northern part of AZ) just do not have the rich fall colors that you enjoy. Really like the interesting angles of all of the vegitation in this composition. That sky is just icing on the cake. Thanks for sharing this one too.

Hi Robert,
Yes I like having clouds. If there are no clouds i call the day a "boring blue day"....haha... Clouds help create the mood of any shot i am trying to create.

Hi Ali
I am using the 18-200mm lens at it's widest (18mm). Then i join all the images up using PTgui software. PTgui makes it very easy....like just push a button. I have tried many other panoramic style software. None had the ease and success of PTgui. Give it a shot. If you are into panoramic shots you will love this software.

Beautiful shot dear Tim, Great Autumn colors. you did a great job, I usually don't get panaromas right even if I'm using a tripod, I end up with a shot that excludes the most important parts of the top or the bottom. So what focal length did you use here ?! I also like the high color contrast between the blue sky and the trees. and I really miss Autumn ! here in singapore there are no seasons ! 7++ Best regards, aLi
