Thanks very much Jan, good luck with the tubes. The MP-e65 is for high magnification macro and is quite costly. Also, it is not easy to use as the effective aperture is about f65 and correspondingly has a very limited dof making it very difficult to focus where you want it.

Joe -- The detail held up so well on the crop; amazing macro work. I am expecting a set of extension tubes today that I am going to start playing with so I can get my feet wet on macro work. Too cheap to buy a good macro lens at this point; maybe later. I assume the Canon MPe-65 is for serious macro work. Outstanding results here.

Thanks Biljana, Although the up-close view of insects is usually not pretty, I find the gory details of these critter very fascinating and interesting.
