Yes, this is rather a "sad" fantasy/fairytale/romantic image... call it what you will...
I don't actually think any part of this "presentation" is "perfect", but best I could come up with considering my current "tools" I have on this ancient machine with ancient programmes that are all malfunctioning! (Even my scanner is giving me grief, whereas usually it only does so with transparencies and negatives). This is a scanned print and a very small portion of that print.
I agree that the photographer makes an image by their feelings... I also understand entirely what you mean about the "MIRROR".

Amazing fine art photo...intimate portrait, plenty of emotion...tenderness, and even some touch of sadness.. About the technique...is perfect the composition and the view point of the model.- The frame or the texture for me are not perfect in the style, but could it be my monitor.- Softness is wonder and desaturated also.- I'm not shure if it's a fairy tale, but the fantasies flies like a seagull, and the freedom can everythink.- And some friends tell us a romantic feels...Romanticism was love, but sometimes there were stormed loves...in this case the face looks sad and maybe in a storm of the soul.- And alwasy I say the photographers makes an image by their feels, and the spectator see them like a MIRROR, each one associate the image with own feelings.- Dear Aniko, sorry but I put always many words, like u "LOL" With and affectionate and cheers.- LUIS (7):)

I assure you this young girl was not in the least bit sad when this image was made. But she is a lovely young lady, that is for sure. :)
