Joe, you are right, this would make for a nice background, very interesting texture, though as far as a photo for display it needs to have some point of contention in it, something to draw the eye to a point within the image. Could be something as simple as a bug crawling in the corner, a piece of stepped on chewing gum, or a splotch of paint etc... I too have shot many things like this that show patterns and texture but were also missing some point of focus. They will probably never hang on the wall, but they could end up as a background for a website or printed document. Good eye, most people would just walk on it and never notice the texture.
