Wow! This is a wonderful shot!The man looks terrific in his suede coat and furs, while the dogs have the cutest faces possible. How welcome the movement of the head in the dog on right side, it gives life to the shot!And the fur coats of the dogs have the loveliest patterns in grey and brown.I really love this!

What is that attacking the nice mans head? Did you stop and help him at least or just take pictures? This is a great shot. What a character!!! Beautiful dogs this man owns. Very warm feel to it even in the cold. Nice capture.

Hi Philip, thanks for the comment! The cold drains the batteries pretty quickely, so I keep the camera inside my coat except when I'm shooting. If the camera is cold and you come indoors the lens and viewfinder fog up as well. BTW, when I took this shot it was about -35C. with a slight breeze and the dog sled races had been postponed until it warmed up a bit!

Wow, what a stunning portrait, Dave! Amazing character, I could see this picture as an archive document of people of the North! Great documentary, clarity and fantastic colors! The huskies are beautiful, and the guy's outfit - LOL - very "unique." No doubt he's a character, and he's well adapted to the cold environment. I'm sure he'd have lots of stories to tell!

A great catchy title Dave. I love the poochies but the clothes the guy is wearing are "FABULOUS"...that is except for the furry animal parts and fox head. Love the suede fringed jacket. A very colourful character and a very chilly looking scene but snowy scenes are always so refreshing. Great shot Dave.
