About
An experiment with 'IR' using a dark green filter (ca. WWII welder's goggles) over the lens and then doing some PS darkroom adjustments: isolate individual RGB channels into separate layers to blend high noise B channel with soft focus G channel then adding a final blurred layer at very high saturation backed off to about 10% transpearancy to provide a color wash then converted to a duotone. The woods are out my front door and are not really secret. - Mister Ken
You are welcome James. I plan to do more experiments with this approach. I have been re-shooting favorite subjects (Bay trees, woods, etc) and this technique has all sorts of possibilities, even though I initially thought the filter was red but was actually green (Infra-green?). It's dark enought that you cannot see through it. Regards, Mister Ken
I really like this shot. I only rate photos that catch my attention from the thumbnails - this one did. I took a similar shot while visiting a botanical garden near Los Angeles in 1986. It was a "straight" shot on Kodachrome, though. Thanks for the instruction on how you accomplished this 'IR' shot.
