About I've driven by this Presbyterian church on Broadway in Oakland, CA many times and finally got a shot from a median strip with cars rushing by about 9am with a nice blue sky. Thought it would like better as a night shot...so... monochromed it - reds pushed to highlights and blues to shadows, Neat Image followed by median filter on a separate layer to remove the posterization in the now dark sky - solarized a copy layer and merged difference followed by a bit of masking to reveal highlight areas. Interesting to manipulate the daylight image into a night-looking shot. I've seen some really fascinating large format images shot at night. Try it sometime. John
