Alison, this is indeed a beautiful spot. I have been photographing this area for some three years. Lots of places to go and things to see. Thanks for your very nice comments. Don.

I went to High School at this exact spot, Verde Valley school. You have captured Cathedral Rock beautifully, I love the reflections in the water and the little sculpture of rocks by the water. Alison

It's uplifting to see such a blue sky when our weather is so miserable. This is such a nice scene - I like the detail, the colours and the reflection looks great - as pretty as a picture! I feel the same way about the changes - I used to log on frequently just to browse - but now I seem to have lost all interest. I'd like to see the old look back again, but with the new features. There again - my interest may be declining because I haven't taken any photos that have excited me for a while.

Yes John, i used a polarizer. The sky came out very intense. I had the lens at 18mm and the edges of the sky on each side were lighter than the middle. Had to correct that. Thanks. Don.

Its not that I WANT clouds, its jut that they are nice but rare in Az. Maybe too much of a cliche. Perhaps, you could add in a little Bambi sipping water from the stream...Never mind, this is photography, not painting...or is it.

Wonderful view!!! Super reflection, great colors, good composition... well captured!!! I like that man-made 'mountain' on the left... it sort of 'balances' (pun intended... ;-D) the shot... LOL!!!
