Stefan, thanks for the comment. I actually manage to remember the filters used and exposure long enough that I don't need to write it down until I get home then I generally record it on my PC. I find the intensity of the experience of creating a good shot gives me a strong mental feeling and picture to which I can attach the quantitative data like exposure, f/stop and filters used.

A remarkable image. More a work of art than a photograph. Your work on the image has been extremely effective in helping to convey the feeling in the scene.

Wow, a fantastic image. I love the colour and light contrast. Can't wait to see the film version.

Like it! It's got to score some points just for creativity. We'll see next week. Good luck.

The same problem here. The season doesn't change until November these days (used to be September when I was a kid!) I've got a couple of shots from last year which wasn't a great autumn and some more from 2003 which was. I'm undecided what to send yet.

Looks like Wicklow. Wet, misty and boggy!

How's it going? Any news on how you've done in the Circles round?

Interesting shapes and the long exposure has given the image a very tranquil feel.

Interesting you should say that! I too thought it would be nice desaturated and I tried a few ideas and like the attached B&W conversion quite a lot.

Nice foreground leading to an interesting pass between the trees. The use of blur on the foreground has produced an added layer of interest and I think it works well.

Eh, you're not elbowing into my territory are you, Mr Spracklen? Lovely light and layering, as you say Classic Cumbria!

Nice work. The composition's spot on and the textures and colours are just about perfect.

Exceptional clouds formation replicating the formation of the corn. I'm not sure about the sepia tone but it's a minor point in a wonderful image.

Great composition and good use of clouds to give a feeling of smog above the chimneys. I think the conversion's just a bit too dark as the powerstation's become a bit amorphous.

Great composition and a beautiful scene. The colours look a little odd though that may just be the silt in the water affecting the colours of the reflections.

Nice composition although it looks like you've used a colour filter (although this may just be the way it appears) and a stronger ND grad might have allowed the foreground an extra half stop of exposure.

Nice. Very interesting abstract. The viewer is challenged to understand the image and the combination of rigidity and natural forms is excellent.
