Very dream-like and (I know this sounds like a contradiction) but it has a smooth feel while also having some sharp details like the lichen on the rock. Your perspective really illustrates the perched nature of the rock. The humor in me wants to say, "Don't Sneeze!" Seriously, a very fine photograph. Rodney

Alas, I'm not blessed with that kind of memory. I'll keep writing down EV, aperture and shutter I guess. On a side note, I find your the details you put down on some of your landscapes very helpful (as I probably have mentioned before). In fact, I think you could consider writing a tutorial or book on this kind of photography were you so inclined. Think about it - you have the illustrations taken care of already :-)

Stefan, thanks for the comment. I actually manage to remember the filters used and exposure long enough that I don't need to write it down until I get home then I generally record it on my PC. I find the intensity of the experience of creating a good shot gives me a strong mental feeling and picture to which I can attach the quantitative data like exposure, f/stop and filters used.

Hello Barry - how you record exposure information when you are out? Notebook or recorder? I take things down in a little book but I forget half the time and it is a little bit in the way... Any tips?

I really like the composition and the foreground. The sky colour looks a little too surreal for my liking but a great picture none the less.
