Hi Pastor Tim, I'm not sure how to e-mail you so I hope you get this. I just wanted to let you know you can use my picture for your site. I went to your site and it didn't look like it was up yet. I'll check it out at a later date. Karen

I find that all the comments people give me are constructive. This was shot a long time ago. I'm not sure exactly where it was taken. There are scenes like this all over around here so I sure I could reshoot this. Thanks everyone.

This definatly has a spooky mood to it. It's pretty cool. I'm assuming there was some use of p/s here.

Thank you everyone for the comments. To Bobby, I took your advise and went back on a clear day and it's gone. Bummer! There's a bunch of new houses there (that no one can afford). To everyone else: This picture was taken the same morning as my "Horses at Sunrise". The sky is pink there but I agree that it somehow dosen't fit this picture. So, I went back into p/s and added a lot of cyan to get the warmth out and it looks a lot better. I can't crop out the sky because I like the texture. I feel that it's a big part of the image. I decided also not to clone the pole and electric thing out because it was just too much cloning. I dont want to do that much p/s to my pictures. Thanks again everyone.

I'm assuming that's real ice. It almost looks like the fake ice commercial photographers use for ads. Our teachers told us about it in school but none of us could afford it at $30 a cube. Nice shot.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I really need to invest in a macro lens. The problem with the adapter is that when I stop the aperture down it cuts back the viewing light and I can't see anything. Also I think I did use my mini tripod for this shot but not my cable release. I took like five shots and this was the sharpest. While shooting this I could have sworn I got at least two sharp ones. Maybe I'll try reshooting some day.

Thanks for the comment. I think I might have messed you up when you tried to comment before. I uploaded the picture again a little lighter. There weren't any horses around but there were a lot of sheep. Soon I'll probably put some of them up.

Thanks for comments and advice. I used a soft box in front of the lights. I think the harsh lighting you see could be from contrast and saturation in ps. As far as the crop I was trying for more of an abstract look by cropping in. I probably should have used a "snoot"(as they called it in school) to light the bowl more. Believe it or not this actually won in a school competition. I'm glad you weren't a judge.(Just kidding.)Thanks for taking the time.

Thank you Marc. I've always thought about cropping some of the black but I wasn't sure if it would make it look like I only took a picture of half a tree. Like the tree needs to be coming from somewhere. If I got lower and included more of the bottom of the tree above the horizon line, that would make the picture better too. I'd love to get back there some day.

To tell you the truth I never really thought about cropping that out. I made a point of getting it in the shot when I took it. That's why I like getting other people's opinions. I can look at the picture now with a new perspective. Thanks everyone for your opinions.

I didn't do much in photoshop at all. I can't understand why it came out like this either. All I did was add a slight bit of saturation (like + 10) and about +5 in contrast. I also took out a few distracting white specs that were houses and dust. My mixed opinions were mostly positive. Thanks.

I like the pastel look of this. I wish there was more in focus though. I know how hard it is to do that with macro. I rarely succeed at that myself.

John, Thank you for taking the time to comment on this. I think the only thing that would still bother me is those flowers on the right in the foreground. I think that's probably why I did so much cropping. Once I cropped them out I had to crop more on the other side to make it a standard size,(for framing and matting).

Russ, That's the funniest thing I ever heard. Maybe when you perfect it and capture the vastness you can post it. I'd love to see it. As far as the pumpkins go, I couldn't get sky in it because there were houses, trees and people all around.
