Russ, That's the funniest thing I ever heard. Maybe when you perfect it and capture the vastness you can post it. I'd love to see it. As far as the pumpkins go, I couldn't get sky in it because there were houses, trees and people all around.

Karen,
I have a confession to make. I have a collection of several hundred plastic forks that I collected over many years, one meal at a time at a particular fast food restaurant. I have tried to make an image of a vast field of forks in the same way you tried to protray your vast field of pumpkins. I also failed to capture the notion of vastness. I'm starting to think that having the sky in your picture might help? And maybe I should take my forks outside.

Kim, Thanks for the comment. I didn't quite capture what I had in mind at the time with this shot. I wanted to show a vast field of pumpkins like a vast field of flowers. I tried different lenses and different angles. I'd like to pass by some more pumpkins this year and hopefully get closer to what I originally was going for.

Woo hoo! I love fall and this image does get me in the mood. What I wish for though, is a main point of focus to make the whole image come together, whether it be turning the green pumpkin around and putting it more to the left or the right, or having one carved pumpkin in the midst...
Right now it's a cool image with nice contrast, but I find that I take a look and then am ready to move on, as nothing holds me looking at it.
