About: My portfolio represents the ongoing development of my interest in photography and post processing.
One of my favorite artists is Aubrey Beardsley who created striking and controversial images in black ink only during the Victorian Era. The ability to create such works of art with only black ink or pencil has always fascinated me. This medium takes imagery to the basic forms of shape and simplicity that color images cannot.
By post processing with digital photography, I create images in high contrast that have the appearance of ink drawings. My portfolio consists of many of these high contrast images. As a point of reference I usually include the original image taken in color. My images also reflect the world around me. Anything can be my subject, from people to flowers, from landscapes to shadows on the sidewalk.
Photography is my hobby that takes up all my spare time in a busy life of work as a professional designer and father. As a consequence of this busy lifestyle I have very little time to respond to comments or add comments to other excellent work posted here that I admire. Be sure that I do read all comments and appreciate the time and effort put in by those fellow photographers who write them.
Your words of encouragement have motivated me to continue my interest in photography and challenge me to try and improve upon my techniques and skills.
I hope you enjoy what I have posted. Comments and critiques are always welcome.
