Exquisite!! The color and texture are beyond compare here. Fantastic use of light George. I love the way you have shot the blossom turned away from the light. Beautiful use of natural ambient light as backlighting. This sort of shot almost always uses top light, which is fine, but the unusual lighting in this is creating a fabulous color and tone. Great work!

This one has the WOW!! factor George, I love it, the lighting is awesome, perfect, lovely, can't get over it...the soft petals are wonderful, love the dof and the cropping, just a gorgeous floral indeed!!

Exquisitely lit floral, George. I like the delicate light and the subtle shadowing on your image.
The focus is effectively soft, yet still finely detailed, with the petal edges showing clearly. A beautiful late blooomer, captured at its best

Hi George,
well, this one must be very late as we have snow here ;-) lovely soft outcome, great colors and unusual cropping. I like the soft framing, fits perfect to the flower.

I like that backlighting, brings out the detail in those petals rather well.
Not at all jealous of Larry lounging on a beach, while I shiver in the face of a chill N.E wind! ;~}

Superbly soft, colorful...with great backlighting George...excellent job for the last flower....Hey we're on the beach in Florida on a dialup, occasionally....I'll try to post a few and comment a few as the technology allows
