hi Roger, ah so you've been to annecy ? I love that city also :) this tower is actually part of the bridge, pont de caille, north of annecy. built in 18 something :). I didn't use the red filter. the sun was on my back, I think that's why the sky was so blue, even I didn't use the CPL filter. When I convert to BW, with pluggin for photoshop that assimilate the result of film using ilford, the result is like this.

Annecy? I have good memories of Annecy from when I was working in France. Lovely city! I don't remember this tower but it looks old enough to have been there when I was (nearly 50 years ago). Did you use a red filter? The sky is VERY black.
