Hmmm. Is the grainy texture I see actually grain, John, or textured paper? (I remember you were using unusual paper recently, and wonder if this is more of the same). Are you losing shadow detail in the scans? The shadows are largely blocked on my screen. Now that I have a Kiev to take 6 x 6 (120), I am ready to put IR through my L+21/4 (35mm), but these images are giving me pause... Also, judging by the sharpening artifacts, it looks as if you need pretty severe sharpening. Are the images really soft originally?
