Joshua, don't place so much weight on the comments, or lack of comments, from others. You won an award, which is more than I have done. That alone is a special type of recognition.
Keep taking photos...keep perfecting your skill, and keep posting. Eventually others within the UF community will notice and comment.
Whatever you do, don't lose faith in yourself or your work. Self pity serves nothing, and it ain't pretty.
As for this image, I like it. There's a strong sense of intimacy, and the lighting adds an element of mystery.
Now go...take more. I promise to take a look. I'm adding you to my associates list.
