Hey Den...this is a pretty typical barge for the Ohio/Mississippi rivers....It's the first time I've ever been able to stnad back far enough to get the whole thing in a photo....Thanks

Wow, I bet that's some impressive fireworks show. The size of that barge is impressive too. We saw some when approaching Amsterdam but that makes them look miniature. Nicely composed cityscape Larry with the twwo bridges forming a border and the human interest in the foreground.

Hi Larry. I'll have to admit that this cityscape may not have caught my eye except for the connection with Riverfest.
As someone who shot professional fireworks displays for nearly twenty years, I have more than simply a photographic appreciation for this scene. I know what a job it is to set-up, fire, and tear down a major exhibition such as this.
Everyone loves to see beautiful photos of the fireworks exploding but few think to photograph the site from which the display erupts.
