Actually, the simplest method to make your (beautiful) eyes 'pop' is to clone an unaltered layer beneath this one, then using an eraser, rub out the softened eyes and lips, revealing the layer behind it. Pretty easy to understand once you try it, Tanya.

i dont think i can sharpen is much more w.o it getting too pixelated. i took the pic of myself and i guess i focused in on the lips too much..

You have focused (deliberately, I imagine) on the lips, and softened the rest of the face - and that is a striking and rather unusual approach. I very much like it.

I like the framing and the colors. Don't forget, though, that the eyes are the initial target for your viewer. My only critique is I think you should sharpen the eyes as well as the lips, leaving the skin nicely filtered as it is here, Tanya.

nice eyes, but it is too red, and the light is too soft, does not really light the face in a way that makes it look better.
