About this is part of a sentimental project for me. my wife grew up living with this stream and now our children are doing the same... they play in this stream nearly every day and have found every creature known to COLD water. for me, I have been walking up and in this stream for over a decade but have never fotographed it. but after many big weather storms, it has changed immensely and so I will fotograph the stream for the years to come to document these sort of changes. perhaps an important chronicle for the family and generations to come.

technical: metered deepest shadow (upper and lower right) and placed on Zone I. then metered rock on the left which metered zone VII. gave the negative N-1 development to give softer appearance of rock on left. Xtol developer

hello sammy. thank you so much but the fotos are indeed very simple :)))

for the nostrils, for some reason I like them *LOL* but I know for some they will not like such photographs.

thank you again.

Very very good "teacher of the day"! :)

Also the choice of N-1 is really good . You have contrasts anyway and a perfect and smooth modelling of the rocks on the top left.

My compliments!

"Simple fotos... that is all I can do."

Give me a break Bryan.
Your images are exquisitely
complex both visually
and in meaning.

One observation. Photographers
often use a very low angle on
people for dramatic effect,
that's fine, however, just keep
in mind that shooting up a
person's nostrils is rarely
flattering.
