About This is an image from my first roll of film on my 'new' Pentax ME Super (my first time learning to use a 'real' film camera) - also my first camera of my own.

This is one of the ones that I thought turned out pretty well, so I thought I'd put up here for review.

Currently, I'm pretty much just using "Auto" for the exposure, until I learn better how to set it on my own, so any suggestions (exposure, f-stops, focus - anything) would be appreciated.

Let me know what you think.

P.S. - this is a newbie question: the f/s for this image was one stop less than 8, and one stop greater than 5.6. What f/s number is that?

Thank you, Mark - I really appreciate your taking the time to review my pictures, and I really appreciate the in depth critique and advice you gave me. As you can tell, I'm still really new at this and so I really appreciate the help. Thanks again!

Hey Michael, I like this... I feel like your showing a great place to sit or just take in the view and relax. Given the lighting up in the right hand corner, your film speed 400, you didn't need film that "fast' 400 is kinda for darker moments. for the shot you took. You could've used iso 100 or 50 film maybe. The kind of film you use makes a really big difference. I found this out too, if you take it to a place to get a CD, they make adjustment's on your picture, so you have to ask them to leave it alone. Just found this out too, slide film they cant change it, the way you shot it is the way you get it back. That's what I am doing now trying to learn to see what I take. Kodak makes Ultra Color 100 and AGFA makes a really saturated color 100 too, that is a fair price. I would say experiment with film brand's and types and find what YOU like. If this is a place you can get to easily go back and try different films and see the changes and differences. or any place for that matter. All the film brands have web pages for their films it's a good read. Hope this helps.

Mark
