About This is another colorful version of my beloved Rainbow Lorikeets. I don't have these in my backyard, unfortunately. This one lives in a local wildlife park's huge aviary.

What a beauty, Ann! Love the details, it's so sharp we can see all the feathers, it seems. Nice colours and engaging expression from your subject. The only negative (and it's a slight one) is the cropping of its tail.

I took some photos of some distant Brazilian cousins of these guys, e.g. www.usefilm.com/image/788576.html and www.usefilm.com/image/797159.html

Thank you, Judi. Drunken Lorikeets? Oh, No. They're dangerous fliers at the best, the way they swoop through small gaps at top speed. Also, I'm the one who feels honoured to have someone like you to learn from. Cheers, Ann.

Very nice details. We have the Rainbow Lorikeets in flocks around our house and town.

Actually in Mackay, Queensland you have to be careful. They get stuck into the rotting mangoes and they tend to make the Lorikeets a little drunk. So when you are walking down the main street they tend to fly a bit low and out of control...LOL!!

Thankyou so kindly also Ann for both your comments and for adding me to your friends list.

Ann this has great colours and detail in the lorikeet. It might be worth selecting him and the branch he is on and then blurring the rest of the background to show him up more

Thank you, Laurie. They do become quite tame very easily. I have a Rainbow Lorikeet who flies to the food dish in my hand as soon as he sees me in the morning, although he's not too keen on actually being touched. They're real characters. Cheers, Ann.
