You made a very good job with B&W and toning, a very beautiful scenery. Gegarding the crop, I wonder if it was a vertical or landscape. Why ? If you had space @ the sides, I would try out a slightly eccentric placement of the boat, towards the left side. Not sure if it works, but I would try it out.
