About For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun?
For what is it to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered? Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing. Gibran

There is just something about dogwoods. I am sorry that so many here in Va have disappeared because of thier delicate nature and susceptibility to disease. I love the simplicity of this photo. Del.

Gorgeous shot D! Love the soft flowers against the hard concrete and they are so crisp! Very emotional. Can't wait to see you when you come across this way - email me to let me know where you plan to stay. Do you want to spend any time up here? You are welcome to our home if you wish. :)

Excellent composition Dottie. I really like this one and the others too. I spent some time at a cemetary photographing a while back but didn't get one shot I liked. You seemed to pull it off well. The entire time I was there I felt as though I was invading privacy.. I supose it's hard to get good picture when your uncomfortable. You seemed to really get your heart into it here. Well done.

Okay, now I want three happy photos :-P

This is life and death. The beauty of the dogwoods against the dark, blurred monument is very contrasting. Excellent eye Dottie!
Take care! Hope all is well! GOD bless!.......

There's something especially sweet about dogwood blossoms in front of the stone. Nice contrast, color, composition, and dof. Well done, Dottie!
