very good silhouette, with good background material alison.... only thing missing is lincoln's beard. the other side of the sculpture, while different, is not nearly as photogenic as the side you shot.

Cool! Cool! Cool! Alison, I love this..The silhouette is so perfect in this image, kind of like he's showing off what he has...I really like your interpretation in black..Makes this a very lively and interesting image, and contrasting him with the beautiful building is very creative..It's almost like he's saying, "well you haven't seen anything yet"...Love it...very well done....:):)Linda

Thank you, dear Alison, for showing the sculpture from both sides. Both photos are beautiful, each in its own way.
Thank you for your very kind comments on my "Saturday afternoon walk", my "Passage to trains" and my "Best friends 1939." Unfortunately we have separated, each going his separate way. The photo, however, was given to me on a meeting the celebrated our 50th anniversary of having finished high school and joining the army for the War of Independence. Some people came specially from abroad, icluding the US, to participate in the meeting. There were about 40 of us, still alive, plus spouses.

The silhouette is my favorite too. I think this is just wonderful I love the spots on sunshine on the masonry and on the flag. Great title since the flag is not so immediately obvious. It all ties together very nicely. Excellent, excellent.
