Excellent silhouette Alison! My only observation is that there is a little purple fringing around the sharp edges. To get rid of it try cutting out the bird into a new layer, reducing the background to monochrome with a high contrast setting then flattening the image again.
I love how you have caaught the colours of the bird though - very very effective!

I think this is just excellent. I love how it's all black and white except for the warm glow on the side of the bird's tail. Very very good, as usual.
