Oh wow - I just love DOF - you've taken an everyday item and made it a work of art!!! And the colours work really well...
That is amazing
Congrats Dwight, my friend...!!!

Thank you Mary for the kind words. I shot a lot of photos of the pins and spent and evening playing and getting used to my new camera that day. The exercise has helped my close up work I feel. You have a wonderful portfolio and I have only got to spend a little time admiring you work, but plan to spend more time soon. Dwight

JCS, Thanks for the comment. I've done a bunch of different layouts with these pins on a couple of different backgrounds and chose this one first as my favorite i.e.. the reason it was posted first. I also like the one I posted at Don's suggestion as I think it tends to pull your eye in to it easier. (however be careful - they're sharp ;-) Dwight

I like this one better. I don't care what Mr. Loseke thinks :) (just kidding!)

I think it's the fact that the pin in focus is much larger, and closer.

Booth of these pictures creep me out. Push pins and thumbtacks should NOT be in that position. Ever.

I gave you a bunch of page views as I was trying to decide, BTW.

Thank you for your comment on my picture.

Great color and sharpness. I think your composition could have been better arranged. Run the line of pins lower left to upper right with the pin in focus about two thirds up the line.
Don.
