About	A Beechcraft D50 being consumed by vines and time. This place had a very surreal feel with about a dozen aircraft disappearing into the undergrowth.

Dani, I spent the day at this place and asked myself the same question over and over. This fine aircraft, and many, many more were just being consumed by the vegetation and some were completely gone except perhaps and antenna or a wingtip showing.
I spent many years as a pilot and worked on aircraft so this brought a tear to see these old birds just fading away. The gentleman that owns them said the cost to recover them (make airworthy) would be prohibitive and most are so ate up with corrosion I believe he's right.
It was almost like walking thru a graveyard, so sad to know what had been at one time. Dwight

Can I ask..Why? We tend to keep our aircraft in hangars over here...Lol. How come these are just rotting away outside?
