Hi Marie..
i really like this effect - the only thing is - I think I would like to see the colour coming from the left (or the light from the right)
The impression I get is that there is a "colour source" (some magical mystical form of light source!) coming from the right. if the shadows matched up - it would be easy to be fooled that the sun was giving the colour.

Your idea can probably only be explained psychologically, Marie;-D. I like the effect, which makes you think about the importance of colors in photographs.

Not a bad image, but I don't understand the half black and white/half colour approach.
